What are the technical requirements for chrome-plated piston rod machining?

Under normal circumstances, the finished chrome-plated piston rod products are often required to undergo a series of processing before they can be used to have good performance, including the surface corrosion resistance, fatigue strength, and delay the generation and expansion of fatigue cracks. In the process of chrome plated piston rod products, their technical requirements are a very important aspect.


This is because the quality of the chrome-plated piston rod and its service life will be directly related to the specific processing technology and the processing technology used throughout the entire process. Then, in actual processing, what technical issues should be specifically addressed? First of all, when designing, the cooperation between the piston rod and the guide sleeve is generally required to be H8/h7 or H8/f7.


Second, when designing and machining chrome-plated piston rods, the roundness and cylindricity tolerances need to be kept within one-half of the diameter tolerance. At the same time, the cylindrical roughness of the piston rod should generally be controlled in the range of 0.1 to 0.3 um. Remember to also ensure the coaxiality of the bearing journals on the journal, otherwise it will affect the transmission accuracy.


Third, the requirements for installation must also be taken into consideration when designing and processing. Under normal circumstances, the perpendicularity tolerance between the end faces of the pistons mounted on the piston and the axis of the chrome plated piston rod should not exceed 0.04mm/100mm, and the installation of the piston should not be skewed. If the shaft diameter is matched with the transmission member, the surface roughness of the piston rod is Ra2.5-0.63um. If the shaft diameter is matched with the bearing, the surface roughness is Ra0.63-0.16um.


In addition to these requirements, the structural design of the chrome-plated piston rod also needs to ensure that the tolerance of the coaxiality of the journal and the outer circle does not exceed 0.01 mm when the piston is installed. But also to ensure that the chrome-plated piston rod and the outer circle of the piston coaxial, to avoid the piston and the cylinder, the piston rod and guide the stuck phenomenon.
