Precautions when installing the discharge plate guide post

Oct 28, 2019

When the mold is produced, the machining error of the punch fixing plate, the discharge plate, and the die fixing plate, and the bonding gap of the guide bush may have an eccentricity when the punch is inserted. If the punch is inserted in such a state, the punch may be deformed, broken, or abnormally worn due to the eccentricity. The following methods can be used to solve these problems.

 (I) Enlarging the aperture of the punch guide sleeve: If the punch guide hole is enlarged, the discharge plate will only function as a discharge material for the material to be processed. Since it does not function as a guide for the punch, it is not suitable for sheet punching with a small gap and a high-precision mold.

(II) Guide the punch to make the insert for adjustment: it will be easy to adjust, but the cost will increase.

(III) Adjusting the die side: Use a spacer and a shim on the square die to prevent eccentricity.

(IV) Adjustment by reference pin: The reference pin is used to adjust the dispersion of the anaerobic bonding gap.

(V) Adjust the precision of the mounting hole of the discharge plate guide sleeve to a small gap: for the high-precision mold without machining error, in order to prevent the core deviation caused by the bonding gap, the clearance between the mounting hole and the guide sleeve can be reduced. The method, but in this case the coaxiality and roundness of the guide sleeve are very important, so please use the precision guide sleeve (VG, TG series).

Further, in order to improve the bonding strength, it is preferable to use a chasing DRC. It is also possible to use a method in which the guide bush is pressed in, but since the inner diameter contraction at the time of press-fitting causes deformation and the mounting strength is weakened, it is recommended that you do not use it for a high-precision mold.https://www.xhychromerod.com/
