The mold guide post is generally made of 20 steel, which is roughed by lathe (remaining grinding allowance), heat treated (carburizing layer depth 0.8-1.2mm, hardened to 58-62HRC), grinding tip hole and outer circle fine grinding. In order to further improve the dimensional accuracy of the guide post and improve the surface roughness, it is also possible to leave a residual amount of 0.01 to 0.015 mm after the outer cylindrical grinding, and then perform grinding.
When grinding with a disc grinder, the guide post is clamped in the partition plate, and eccentric operation is performed between the upper and lower discs, and the movement direction of the guide post is periodically changed to uniformly distribute the abrasive, and the surface of the guide post is formed vertically and horizontally. Interlaced grinding marks, the grinding method has high productivity, and the wear of the grinding tools is relatively uniform, which is suitable for mass production of the guide posts.
If the grinding guide post is clamped by a lathe, the tip and the clamp are usually clamped, and a layer of abrasive is evenly coated on the surface of the grinding. The grinding ring is sleeved on the guide post, and the hand reciprocates along the axial direction of the guide post. The column is moved in a circular motion by the spindle to grind the outer circumference of the guide post. In addition, the outer circumference of the guide post can also be ground with a cast iron plate.
