How to match the thickness and hardness of the chrome plating of hydraulic piston rod

In order to effectively extend the service life of the hydraulic piston rod, it is more effective to apply a layer of chromium on the surface of the piston rod (coating thickness 0.03~0.05mm) and polish it, and the surface roughness Ra is 0.1~0.2μm. The plating solution is based on chromic acid and sulfuric acid as a catalyst. The advantages of the process are: stable plating solution, easy operation, high surface chrome plating quality, and the advantages of bright, high hardness and excellent wear resistance of the piston rod.

 

Generally, the thickness and hardness of the chrome plating layer of the hydraulic piston rod need to be reasonably controlled, and the hard chrome plating plating layer is required to be bright and fine and firmly bonded to the substrate. The hardness of the coating can be as high as HV1100. The amount of non-corrosive anode is small: the maximum ratio can reach 80:1. The cathode current efficiency is 22~35%, and the deposition speed is fast, saving energy. The coating is smooth, uniform in thickness and strong in dispersing ability.

 

For hydraulic piston rods, hard chrome plating can effectively improve the quality of its surface, making it more resistant to corrosion, high temperature, abrasion and rust.
